IPC is BACK! Events July 8 & 12

Indiana Playwrights Circle in Your Inbox

Welcome to issue #7 of our occasional communication to keep you updated on Indiana Playwrights Circle happenings. It ain’t fancy, but we promise to make it informative.

HI, remember us?! We’re so excited to be back! Please join us for two events next week (July 8th & 12th). IPC Founder Andy Black has the full scoop after the photo.

remember how fun this was? let’s do it again!

We are happy to announce that we are rebooting the Indiana Playwrights Circle (IPC)! We took a brief hiatus to reconfigure and investigate the best way to serve our existing members as well as to reach out to the emerging Indiana playwriting community. And now, we are ready to incite some creativity for fall of 2025 and beyond.

Our first “scene” will be a face-to-face meeting—Playwrights Night at the Indiana Writers Center—on Tuesday, July 8, at 7:00 PM. We will convene at the Basile Opera Center, 4011 N Pennsylvania St, Indianapolis in the large meeting room. We have a fun program planned with discussions about the joys of playwriting, best practice tips, and a sneak preview of upcoming activities. You will be able to meet and greet many of your favorite “characters”. Click here for more info and to register. All are welcome!

For those of you who can’t make that meeting, or don’t live in Central Indiana, don’t despair! We have a Zoom follow up planned for Saturday, July 12, at 10:00 AM (EDT)—a playwright’s brunch, as it were, where you bring your own coffee. We will repeat the activities from July 8 in a virtual environment and update on the IPC upcoming activities as well. Click here for more info and to register. All are welcome!

Foreshadowing (get it?): Our future events include face-to-face playwriting support groups as well as virtual scene nights where pages can be read. More information is forthcoming, but if you want to get the info firsthand, plan to attend either/both of the two events above.
