Weds: IPC Scene Night Returns!

Indiana Playwrights Circle in Your Inbox

Welcome to issue #9 of our occasional newsletter to keep you updated on IPC happenings. It ain’t fancy, but we promise to make it informative.

Just a short one this time, folx: Scene Night is back! IPC’s signature event returns this Wednesday, August 20. Bring up to 1600 words of a play-in-progress. Our actors will read it aloud and you’ll get feedback from our supportive community. Appropriate for all levels of writers, from beginners to pros. Also, it’s a lot of fun—promise!

When & Where: 3rd Wednesday of every month starting August 20. 7:00-9:30 PM Eastern on Zoom. Free for IPC members; $10 non-members. Sign up here. (IPC members: log in FIRST to see the correct cost (free).

Important notes:

  • There’s space for 6 writers each time. First-come, first-served. Advanced registration is required.

  • Scene Night leader Andy Black will confirm your participation on Wednesday morning, send you the zoom link, and ask for your pages.

  • Just want to be an audience member without submitting pages? Great! You are very welcome (and it’s free). Please email Andy ([email protected]) for the link.

  • Actors: Since it’s Fringe and so many of us are busy this week, actors have already been selected to read just this time. We’ll put out the bat signal for your participation starting in September, so please stay tuned!
